In her current role supporting Population Health initiatives, Michele applies hands on expertise in coding, compliance, and auditing. This background allows her to connect exam concepts directly to what auditors and payers expect to see in practice.
About Michele:
Michele is an Ambulatory Clinical Documentation Integrity (aCDI) RN who brings over 30 years of nursing experience across diverse specialties, including oncology, maternal-child health, geriatrics, rehabilitation, education, and clinical leadership. She currently supports Population Health initiatives and has expertise in coding, compliance, auding and documentation integrity. Michele is an active member of both the AAPC serving as President to her local chapter and a Region 1 Representative on the Chapter Advisory Board. She also is active within the ACDIS professional community and serves on their Continuing Education Committee. She is a passionate educator and dedicated to advancing CDI practice, provider engagement and professional development across diverse healthcare settings. She moved to Maine in 2009. She lives in Western Maine with her two children. She enjoys spending time with her family, dogs, reading, painting, and supporting local dog rescue organizations.
